St Attracta’s Community School strives to create a caring environment for the holistic development of each individual. Ethos:It is the policy of the school to continue the work in education initiated by the Marist sisters; the Sisters of Charity, County Sligo V.E.C. and the Diocese of Achonry, to maintain the ethos they established in accordance with their vision of Christian Education and to strive for standards, values and ideals to which they aspire. St. Attracta’s Community School occupies a new school building that was officially opened in December 2002. The building has been designed to provide a sense of space and to maximise the use of natural light. St. Attracta’s sets itself the high ideal of creating a Christian Community where the academic, cultural, sporting and spiritual aspects of each student is developed within an atmosphere of mutual respect, integrity, honesty and tolerance.
