St. Attracta's Community School  
Sport and Recreation in St. Attracta’s:

A wide range of sports and leisure activities are provided at St. Attracta’s. We have a full sized all weather Gaelic football pitch, together with shower and changing facilities. The school also has a large P.E. hall that can be used for basketball; badminton; volleyball etc. A fully equipped gym overlooks the hall.Outside are three tarmacadamed basketball courts and soccer courts

Gaelic Football:

St. Attracta’s plays in all competitions in Connacht from 1st year ‘A’ & ‘B’ to senior ‘A’ & ‘B’, in both boys and girls competitions. In our short existence we have enjoyed success in both girls’ and boys’ competitions.

Basketball:

Teams from the school compete at all levels from 1st year to Senior in both girls and boys competitions.

Badminton:

Badminton teams from the school have also competed in Connacht competitions.

Golf:

Students also represent the school in various golfing competitions organised by the Golfing Union of Ireland.

Debating & Quizes:

Teams from St. Attracta’s participate in quizzes and debates at local and provincial level.

Musicals:

A musical involving over 100 students is produced every second year. This is undoubtedly the high point of our cultural/artistic activity and is a wonderful example of cross-curricular activity involving most areas of school life.

Choir:

St. Attracta’s has both senior and junior choir comprising both boys and girls.
